Let’s be honest with one another. Many people have a fear of failure, and that’s something that I understand fairly well. However, let’s keep two things in mind. First, has anybody in this world ever succeeded at something without failing at least once? Second, you fear failure; is being broke really a mark of success? You, reading this right now, have amazing gifts and talents that you can monetize! The world will pay you for what you can do if you put it out there the right way! If we sat down and really put some numbers on paper, you’d see what’s possible; for the longest time, I didn’t think it was possible for me to generate the revenue that I have now, yet here I am! I say all of this to ask you a question.
If you know that you can generate more revenue, why settle for a paycheck?
If you know that it’s possible to do and earn more, why not invest in the help to make it happen? It’s one thing if you don’t know what you don’t know. It’s ignorance on your part if you don’t use your greatness! Should you settle for a paycheck? I can give you a few reasons why the answer should be “No!”
- Life does not wait for you!
If you know that you’re living below your potential, what will make you get up and do something different? Life will not wait for you to have it all together! Life isn’t going to slow down until you feel ready to make a change! The amount of money you make is in direct correlation to the amount of people you help. If you work a job and help a small amount of people, you make small money. If you help the masses, you’ll make a lot of money! You’ll have the same amount of time available to you whether you work a job, or work an entrepreneur; life will decide when it’s your time to go. Do you use that time working for others, or helping the world (and being paid well for it!)?
- You’re capable of generating more revenue than a paycheck!
The issue that many people have is that they look at those with money and think that they’ve done it in a magical way. Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and I all have something in common: we’re human beings! There isn’t a magic wand that’s waved that makes money fall out of the sky! Arm yourself with knowledge on how to generate revenue, and then utilize it! That’s the formula! The Good Book says that everyone has the power to generate wealth. You’re a part of everyone! Each day you don’t have the revenue you want, ask yourself why, and what you’re willing to do to get it! What you may be doing is trivializing your gifts and talents! Just because you’re good at it doesn’t mean that everyone else is too, and you can place a value on your expertise in that area!
- A paycheck is only a percentage of what a company makes from you!
Let’s break down the numbers. The easiest example we can use is a McDonald’s worker. Suppose on a very good end, this person is making about $15 an hour. Someone comes into the drive-thru and orders a few combos for their family, and we know that most combos on the menu are nothing less than $6 or $7, and that’s on the low end. In possibly one order, McDonald’s has already made double this person’s hourly wage! This isn’t a slight against any company, but this is how most corporations operate! The paycheck that you earn is merely a decimal point in the overall revenue of the company! Should you really settle for getting .000001 of what a company earns, or should you do something for yourself so that you get the majority? Last, but not least…
- You can live the life you want to live!
Close your eyes and imagine your perfect life. Imagine all debts paid. Think about having the ability to travel wherever you’d like to go. If you have children, think about them wanting to invest in learning a skill, and you have the money needed to nurture that skill. If you settle for a paycheck, it might be extremely difficult to live that life! What I consider living good and what others consider living good are two different things. However, I think we can all agree that financial freedom is a common goal!
There’s no need for you to settle for a paycheck! The only question is will you continue to settle, or make a decision to free yourself? If you don’t know how to free yourself, invest in some help!
