If you want to truly get ahead in life, you have to start realizing the truth about where you stand concerning your job and money! Part of what goes into this process involves shifting your mindset, and that means asking yourself some very tough questions. It’s better to realize and utilize a harsh truth over a beautiful lie, if it can even be called that! With that being said, if you want to learn the truth about your job, ask yourself the questions you’ll see below!
- Is your job making you happy?
For far too long, we’ve been taught that a job is the best way for us to make money so that we can live comfortably, but this is not the case! You shouldn’t have to go to a place that you hate and feel punished just to live a good quality of life! If your job is not making you happy and literally sick to your stomach, don’t stay! Look into alternative ways to generate revenue, such as starting a business!
- Do you think your job will make you rich?
There are quite a few of you that actually have a good paying job. I was in that category myself; I was making a six figure salary. However, the majority of you really have to sit and think about this one. Money makes the world go round, and it’s a global language. Will your job ever provide you with enough money to buy what you want? Or will you have to play tricks with your money in order to obtain things?
- Do you believe that you are safe in your job?
You’d have to be living under a rock if you think that these jobs are loyal to you! Each and every day technology is advancing to make jobs safer, effectively replacing the human element. There aren’t many industries that aren’t utilizing technology to slowly phase out actual manpower. Less manpower means less money in your pocket, and then eventually you’re gone altogether! Don’t be in denial! Having the “it won’t happen to me” mentality about your job security is only fooling yourself!
- Are you important to your job?
Jobs and employers only care about their bottom line. If you are important to your job, then they would come to you when making major decisions. If you find that this doesn’t happen, this may mean that you’re expendable! It might also simply mean that you’re low on the food chain, and you have no influence in the decision making. If you’re not in control of what happens at your job, and they don’t come to you concerning moves that need to be made, you may want to reconsider your position!
- Do you have a future at your job?
It’s time to think a little deeper for this one. You may have been at your job for most of your adult life. Do you have a legacy at your job? Can your children take over when you’re no longer able to work? Will your name be on any doors or walls? Will your achievements bring about a change or new product that earns you residual income? These are some things to think about!
- Will you retire comfortably from your job?
With the way retirement is looking as of late, many workers that have put in decades at a job will not have enough to retire and relax; they may have to go back into the workforce! In your later years, that’s not the most ideal situation, but unfortunately it does happen, and a lot more often than you think! Don’t allow this to become your fate!
- Do you know what’s next?
One of the things I stress to everyone is that it’s important to have a plan! If you lost your job tomorrow, do you know what you would do? Do you know if you could get another job quick enough to fill in the gaps before bills catch up to you? Do you know where you’ll be money-wise in 1 year, 5 years, or 10? This is something that you must have in mind! You don’t want to be caught out in the world of money without a plan! With all of those questions and realizations in mind, I have a final question for you…
- What are you going to do about it?
Having realized that your job isn’t safe, and that you don’t have a legacy to leave behind to your children, what are you going to do in order to ensure that you leave behind generational wealth? What will you do so that you can get by in life and get all of the things that you want without having to borrow from someone here and there? Again, it’s not a trick if you have the money, so what will you do to stop playing tricks with your revenue?
Saying this may make me seem rather pessimistic towards jobs, but that’s only because my eyes have been opened to the truth! While jobs do serve a purpose, the ends will hardly justify the means! In today’s society, you will either be the employee that is subject to be fired or laid off on a whim, or the CEO. One of those positions is considered expendable, and we don’t have to guess which one! If you’d like to be on the side that’s not expendable, sign up for the program that will allow you to make that transition from employee to entrepreneur, so that you may secure your own financial freedom!
