I’ve often said that people don’t have a problem with money. People only have an issue with what they’ve been taught about money! Unfortunately, this starts from a very early age! We’re all taught to go to school, get an education, and then get a good paying job. Due to this teaching, we never get taught that there are other ways to generate revenue! It begins with the parents, because that’s what they were taught, but our schools also don’t do a good job of teaching our children about generating revenue!
As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned everything concerning making money on my own! A school didn’t teach me anything outside of the basic math and reading skills, and that in itself is okay! However, what are schools really teaching about business and money? Unfortunately, it’s not a lot! Keep on reading to see more about what they don’t teach you at school about money!
- Schools don’t teach you that it’s okay to be different!
The curriculums are mostly the same across the board, and rarely will a school realize that each child has different strengths and weaknesses. Due to that, children will go through most of school trying to fit in instead of standing out! It is that standing out mentality that can help make all the difference as an entrepreneur, as your difference can be worth millions!
- Schools won’t teach you that it’s okay to use your gifts and talents!
You never know what your children are capable of. These days, there are kids that can do wonderful things! Most schools will showcase these kids’ gifts in talent shows here and there. However, will a school really tell a child to monetize that gift? They may tell your child to join a club for their particular talent, but I doubt they will tell them to get paid for what they’re good at doing!
- Schools won’t teach you to be the leader!
Going back to the beginning, we get taught to go to school, get a degree, and get a good paying job. We basically get taught to follow the masses! Even on the adult level, you pay lots of money to get a degree for a job that is not promised to you! Worse yet, it’s a job where you’re considered expendable! These jobs are not loyal, and the schools aren’t much better! They won’t teach you to be loyal to yourself and your next level! A follower mentality is not for everybody! A school will teach you to be an employee, not an entrepreneur! Furthermore…
- Schools won’t teach you that it’s all about sales!
This is where it gets a little deep. A school will not teach you to be in the seller mindset! Think about this; major corporations such as Target and Wal-Mart have no problem selling their products to you! On the other hand, you had to sell yourself in order to get a job! Your resume’ was your ad! You then have to sell yourself even more in order to get a face-to-face interview! In today’s society, you’re either going to be a seller, or the one getting sold to! Be the seller! Finally…
- A school won’t teach you to earn your own money!
You’ll get a degree, and then get a job. Job is an acronym for Just Over Broke! As a result, you’ll be left struggling to make ends meet! The struggling mentality makes risky lifestyles look appealing to both children and adults! This is due to those lifestyles earning their own money, more of it, and at a faster rate! The better way to go is to start teaching your children from an early age to start working for themselves, and to hire some help!
I will not say that schools are all bad, because there are certain professions that certainly require school, such as being a doctor! However, you have to realize that everybody has the power to create wealth! Money is out in the world, you just have to be willing to go out and get it! If you need help on learning more about money and how to monetize your gifts, this is the class for you! If you’re well into entrepreneurship, or want to leave behind that broke mentality forever, sign up for the program to make that job a thing of the past! There is learning involved, but we’ll be focused on the bottom line; your money, and your next level!
