Many people feel trapped in their daily lives. It’s the same routine without deviation, and it even carries over into your finances. You rely on that job for a steady income, and you may do extra on the side in order to get more money, but you still feel as though nothing is progressing. I have news for you: Everyone can be free from a job! If you’re currently an employed entrepreneur (as in owning or starting a business yet still working a job), there is a way out for you as well! Keep on reading to find out more!
- If you really sat and looked at the numbers behind what it takes to quit your job, you’d be surprised!
Many of the clients that I’ve worked with to help free them from their jobs were actually surprised as to what goes into being able to walk away and move forward in a business. Few people consider that the costs of everyday life add up, and take away from what you’re making. The cost for gas, tolls, and dry cleaning for business attire can add up rapidly! In addition, you don’t consider what you’re spending for lunch each day! Your time also plays a factor! You can use the time spent traveling to and from your job in a different way, such as working on your business!
I will never tell anybody to quit his or her job right away; leaping before you look is a recipe for failure! However, you have to start redirecting your money and time towards building your business. I’ll also give you this caveat; if you have a relaxed work environment, then you should stay as long as you can! The important thing is that you do the math behind the scenes to see how much it costs you to truly be free, and how much it’s costing you to stay at that job.
- You have to do the work!
I believe that anybody can be an entrepreneur. However, I doubt that everybody will be an entrepreneur! You have to take your skills and talents and invest in yourself! The important part that many people miss is that everybody is skilled at something. There’s nothing stopping you from taking that skill and claiming your abundance in the world! The next thing you need to get out of the trap is…
- You need discipline!
To those that are actually in business yet still employed, you may come to a crossroads where you need to decide whether to work on your business, or work on the paycheck. I won’t lie to you and say that it’s easy to decide to work on your business; it takes discipline! Instead of taking the downtime in your job to catch up on a TV show or get some work done, take that time to see what your business needs! Your days off from your job should be spent doing research to take your ideas to the next level! I’ve recently started a new food regimen where I’m cutting out all forms of meat. I’m currently on day 12, and it’s not easy, but I know that the results are worth the journey! However, it takes discipline just to get that far! Imagine the discipline needed to focus on your business!
As I stated above, I would never tell somebody to quit his or her job right away. You have to slowly start transferring your energy and your money into what really matters; your exit strategy and abundance! If you’re trapped between a business and a job, the worst thing you can do is make a hasty decision without the proper things in place needed to keep going in that direction! Do the math, make a plan, and then execute! Get out of your own way and go out into the world to claim what is yours! If you’re in between a business and a job, perhaps a big launch is what you need, and I can help!
